Dr. Rudy Wassenaar can now add another title to his already impressive career and education in dentistry. At the 2016 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, held in New Orleans from October 26-29, Dr. Wassenaar was recognized as an official Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Earning this title is no easy task. An expert panel of implant dentists reviews professional and leadership credentials. The potential Fellow must also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in dentistry and to the Academy’s standards of ethics and patient welfare.
Dr. Wassenaar was required to provide documentation of his excellence in the dental field, which includes proof of his Diplomate status of the American Board of Oral Implantology, the certifying board that the Academy sponsors, and proof that he provides the surgical and restorative phases of implant treatment.
This distinguished honor sets apart the leading implantologists in the field. Dr. Wassenaar is one of 300 dentists who hold this prestigious membership. The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) is the only dental implant organization that offers credentials recognized by US state and federal courts.
